This Grilled Salmon with Grapefruit and Avocado Salsa is a must make this grilling season! A fresh and flavorful dinner you’ll be making all summer long!

When I think of summer, I instantly think of sitting on our patio, firing up the grill, and sipping on a refreshing cocktail.  I’m all about making easy recipes that keep me outside, and grilled salmon with grapefruit avocado salsa is one of the easiest, and tastiest!

This smoky salmon is so mouthwatering! It’s lightly seasoned with a drizzle of olive oil, paprika, and some salt and pepper, and is then grilled to perfection. Topping it with a tangy grapefruit avocado salsa really puts it over the top, too! It’s so simple to make and tastes so refreshingly delicious! This dish is perfect to make for a weeknight dinner and even fancy enough to impress guests, too!

Is salmon healthy?

Salmon is a great source of protein and is loaded with Omega-3 Fatty Acids, B Vitamins, and Potassium. Salmon is one of the best types of fish to eat as far as nutritional value goes.  One serving of salmon (typically 3 to 4 ounces) is about 200 calories. It’s also one of the best sources of vitamin B12, high in potassium and other nutrients like iron and vitamin D!

How do I grill salmon?

Prepare the salmon filets by applying olive oil, smoked paprika, dried and salt and pepper. I like to massage the spices into the salmon with my fingertips with a little olive oil Heat the grill to medium heat. Brush or spray grill grates with a little olive oil.

Place salmon skin-side down on the grill for about 5 – 10 minutes depending on your grill. Once you see the portion of salmon closest to the flame turn pink halfway up, then you know it’s time to flip the fish onto the other side. I like to do this using a set of tongs and placing them on either side of the salmon, rather than on the bottom and top.

When your salmon is done, remove with tongs, and place on a serving plate and allow to cool a bit before serving.
