Refreshing 5-ingredient Frozen Bourbon Peach Slush

July 24, 2025 · Nicole Triebe

Cool off with a tasty Peach Slush! This boozy adult frozen treat is easy to make and perfect for hot summer afternoons.

When the summer heat hits, there’s nothing better than a frosty drink in hand—and this bourbon peach lemonade slush might just become your new warm-weather favorite. It’s sweet, tangy, a little boozy, and perfectly icy. Think Southern charm meets poolside party vibes.

Whether you’re hosting a backyard BBQ, lounging on the patio, or just cooling off after a hot summer day, this slush is the ultimate adult treat. Long, hard days of parenting a 7-month-old usually call for a cocktail or two after 5 pm, so today I’m combining the two with this bourbon peach cocktail!

Why We Love this Bourbon Peach Slush

Fresh peach flavor: Juicy peaches bring natural sweetness and summer flair.

Bright citrus: Lemonade adds a refreshing, tart punch that balances beautifully with the peaches.

A bourbon kick: Smooth bourbon adds depth and a warming note that plays well with the fruit.

Frozen and fun: It’s essentially a grown-up slushy—and who doesn’t love that? It’s an easy party punch recipe for a summer soiree!

Key Ingredients for this Bourbon Peach Slush

Flat lay of ingredients for peach slush, including fresh peaches, mint, lemons, sugar, and a bottle of bourbon on a wooden cutting board.

Ripe peaches

Peaches are the star of the show here. The natural sweetness of fresh ripe peaches and juicy texture blend beautifully into a slushy consistency. Fresh peach slices bring vibrant flavor, but frozen peaches work just as well and help chill the drink.

Lemon juice

Fresh lemon juice sharpens the citrus note and brightens the drink. It enhances the flavor of the peaches and helps cut through the richness of the bourbon.

Simple syrup

A touch of simple syrup rounds out the tartness and makes this bourbon cocktail perfectly sweet without overpowering the other ingredients. You can adjust based on how sweet your peaches or lemonade are.

Bourbon

Bourbon adds depth, warmth, and a caramel-like smoothness that complements the fruity flavors. The oaky richness of bourbon pairs especially well with the natural sugars in peaches. My favorite bourbon brands for this cocktail are:

Four Roses Bourbon

  • Light, fruity, with hints of spice and caramel. Super smooth and perfect for cocktails.

Maker’s Mark

  • Known for its soft, wheated profile—this one’s mellow with notes of vanilla and honey, which blend beautifully with peaches.

Bulleit Bourbon

  • Slightly spicier but still very balanced. Great if you want a bit more complexity without overwhelming the drink.

Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond

  • Budget-friendly with good character—slightly stronger at 100 proof, so use a bit less if you want to keep the slush on the lighter side.

Wild Turkey 81

Mellow and flavorful, with a nice roundness that works well in blended drinks.

Ice cubes

Ice is what gives this drink its slushy texture. It blends everything together into a frosty, sippable consistency that’s perfect for hot days.

Optional Garnishes

Fresh mint

Fresh peach slices

Lemon wheels

These are optional, but highly recommended. Mint adds a cooling, herbal note on the nose, while fresh peach or lemon garnishes give it that extra pop of color and seasonal flair.

How do you make bourbon peach lemonade slush?

This bourbon peach lemonade granita may be the easiest dessert you’ll ever make! All you need is a few ingredients, a blender or slush machine!

First, chop up 3 peaches. Peaches are in season from May until September, so these juicy beauties were the perfect choice for this dessert. You can make granita with most fruits, though! Tell me what your favorite is below!

Next, place the peaches in a saucepan with water and sugar. Bring the water to a boil and let it simmer for 7 minutes, or until the peaches are soft. Remove from the heat and let cool.

Blend until smooth. Put the cooked peaches and liquid in a blender and blend until smooth. Strain out any skins and add lemon juice, water, ice and bourbon.

Additional Recipes to Try

Peach Vodka Lemonade – A lighter, refreshing twist on peach cocktails—offering contrast to the boozy depth of the slush. Both lean into peach-forward vibes, but this one adds citrus brightness and a vodka kick.

Sun Kissed Sipper – Another whiskey-based sipper, this one infused with strawberries. It complements the bourbon in your slush while introducing a floral, fruity note.

Strawberry Lemonade Smash Cocktail – An effervescent, minty smash with fresh fruit—fun, fizzy, and light. It pairs well with the slush’s smooth texture and could serve as a contrast when offering multiple cocktails.

So go ahead—grab those peaches and get your blender ready. This summer cocktail is your new staple for a lazy summer day.
