Description

 Packed with lean protein and flavorful spices, this spicy turkey chili is the perfect way to satisfy your comfort food cravings! This simple chili recipe can be made on the stovetop or in your slow cooker for an easy, delicious weeknight dinner!


Ingredients

1 tbl olive oil

1 pound ground turkey

1 onion, chopped

1 tsp worcestershire

1 (28 ounce) can canned crushed or whole tomatoes

2 (16 ounce) can tomato sauce

2 (16 ounce) can kidney beans – drained and rinsed

1 tablespoon garlic, minced

¼ cup chili powder

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp black pepper

2 teaspoons ground cayenne pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt


Instructions

Heat the oil in a large dutch oven over medium heat. Add onions to the pot and cook until translucent.  Add turkey to the pot, and cook until evenly almost completely brown.   Mix in chili powder, garlic, cayenne pepper, black pepper and salt

Mix in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and beans. Bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for one hour.  Garnish with toppings of your choosing.
