Step up your game with a football tailgate charcuterie board! It will be a hit no matter which team you’re cheering for!
Ingredients
1 wheel of smoked gouda
1 block of Aged Cheddar
Genoa Salami
Everything bagel crackers
12 oz little smokies, cooked
Whole grain mustard
almonds
Gherkins
4 soft pretzels
For the cheese sauce
1 Tablespoon unsalted butter
1 Tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup whole milk
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
1 x 4 oz can mild green chiles
salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Assemble charcuterie board per instructions in the blog above.
To make the cheese sauce:
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the butter, stirring constantly and cook for 1 minute until it forms a thick paste.
Whisk in the milk and cook until slightly thickened.
Turn off the heat and slowly stir in the cheese until melted. Stir until smooth. Add green chiles. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. If it’s too thick add a Tablespoon or more of warmed milk.
Serve immediately
