Cooking dinner as a new mom has been quite a challenge.  Between feeding our son, getting my work done, walking our pup, and keeping the house clean, it’s quite the juggling act!  That means when dinner time rolls around, I’m always looking for something that takes minimal effort but still tastes like it took all day to cook. I’m partnering with Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Chicken Breast Strips to make this Creamy Chicken Bruschetta Pasta because their chicken strips allow me to do just that!  They’re so juicy, taste like they just came from the grill, and cut my cooking time in half!  This dish is quickly becoming a new family favorite at the Dinner Fairy house!

What are Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Chicken Breast Strips?

Tyson® Foods have been around since 1935! During the Great Depression, John W. Tyson moved his family to Arkansas in search of better opportunities and started Tyson® Foods, delivering quality chicken in his truck to other hard-working people. Tyson® Foods has since grown over the years in finding new ways to help feed the nation, with the belief that every family deserves to bring quality chicken to their table. As they’ve grown, their beliefs remain the same. Be good. Be humble. And always keep it real.

That saying rings true when it comes to their chicken, too! That means no filler, just 100% delicious chicken. Their Grilled & Ready® Chicken Breast Strips are fully cooked and are easy and quick to prepare, made from boneless skinless rib meat and are 100% natural with no artificial ingredients. They’re so easy to pop on top of salads for some quick protein, or in a pasta dish like this Creamy Chicken Bruschetta Pasta! I love how each piece is a perfect size and you can see the grill marks on every one!

Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Chicken Breast Strips can be found at Target in the frozen foods aisle!

How do I make Creamy Chicken Bruschetta Pasta?

For this quick dish, we’re going to start with making a simple bruschetta mix.  You want to mix the tomatoes together first so that the flavors can begin to marinate and develop, as to give your pasta as much flavor as possible!  Do this by combining the following in a small bowl:

1 pint ripe grape tomatoes, sliced in half

5 large basil leaves, chiffonade, plus some for garnish

2 small cloves of garlic, minced or pressed through a garlic press

salt and pepper to taste

1/2 tsp sugar

1 tbl olive oil

Let it sit for 10 minutes while you fill a medium stockpot with water for the pasta.  Let it come to a boil over medium heat.

In a large saute pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.  Add 1 clove of minced garlic and saute until fragrant.  Add one tablespoon of flour and create a roux, or a mixture of butter and flour used in making sauces.  Let the flour cook for 1 minute before adding wine and cream.

Add parmesan cheese and whisk to fully incorporate before adding the bruschetta tomatoes.

Before draining the pasta, reserve a 1/2 cup of pasta water.

Why should I add pasta water to my Creamy Chicken Bruschetta pasta sauce?

Pasta water is a great addition to any sauce. When you add about a ¼-1/2 cup of pasta water to the sauce, the salty, starchy water not only adds flavor but helps glue the pasta and sauce together; by thickening the sauce for the Creamy Chicken Bruschetta pasta.
