Ingredients
- 1 bottle dry red wine like Cabernet Sauvignon or Pinot Nior
- 2 cups cranberry pomegranate juice
- 1/3 cup Triple Sec
- 3/4 cup cranberry simple syrup (recipe below)
- 1 navel orange, thinly sliced
- 1 cup fresh cranberries Ice cubes for serving
Cranberry simple syrup
- Cranberry simple syrup 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup cranberries
Instructions
In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, cranberry and pomegranate juice, Triple Sec, 3/4 cup of the cranberry simple syrup, orange slices, and cranberries
Make the cranberry simple syrup by combining 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup cranberries in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil and stir until sugar has dissolved. Mix into sangria and stir to combine. Chill in the fridge for 2-4 hours or until ready to serve, or serve immediately over crushed ice.
Notes
Be sure to chill before serving!
Use Cabernet Sauvignon or Pinot Nior for the wine
To make this even more festive, add a fresh sprig of rosemary or thyme!
