The countdown to Halloween is on, and this spooky cocktail is a must on your wicked menu! Impress your friends with these smoking skull halloween cocktails!

Halloween is going to be extra special this year!  We are currently waiting on our first child to make his/her appearance, and I’m celebrating with a spooky cocktail! Our entire house is decked out in scary Halloween decor, and this smoking skull Halloween cocktail is the best part about it!

I’m partnering with Intrepid Spirits and Cocalero in making this festive drink for the upcoming All Hallows’ Eve!  I’m obsessed with the vibrant green color of these smoking skull Halloween cocktails!

What is Cocalero?

Cocalero is a herbal spirit made with the South American coca leaf and an infusion of juniper, lavender, ginger and 13 other hand selected botanicals.  These botanicals give Cocalero its unique flavor.  Many people believe that coca leaves protect from curses and bad energy.  They supposedly bring good luck in return! That makes it the perfect ingredient for these spooky smoking skull halloween cocktails!

Cocalero can be enjoyed ice-cold from the freezer, or in a variety of other cocktails!  You can purchase Cocalero at Reserve Bar! Today we’re pairing it with a splash of midori and ginger beer and adding some dry ice for an extra spooky effect!

What should I serve my smoking skull halloween cocktails in?

The coolest part about these cocktails is the glasses that they’re served in!  I got these skull drinking glasses from my local Michaels store, but you can also find some here and here. Make sure that they’re able to withstand cold temps safely.

What should I put on my Halloween tablescape?

I created this spooky scene with black candles and some antique gold candle sticks I found on Ebay.  I got my spider web from the dollar store and this bony spider from Michaels! Throw in some orange and white pumpkins to complete the whole look.

Important Note About Dry Ice! Do NOT drink the cocktail until dry ice has completely dissolved. Dry ice is not meant to be consumed. It’s just for special effects. Typically dry ice takes 5-10 minutes to completely dissolve depending on how big of a chunk you add – a little goes a long way. Start with a small chunk and and always use kitchen tongs or oven mitts to place dry ice into the glass. Never handle it with your hands.
