Oven Roasted Pears with Walnuts, Honey and Greek Yogurt

February 2, 2018 (Last updated August 18, 2021) · Nicole Triebe

My wonderful soon-to-be in-laws sent us a box of Harry & David pears for the holidays and so I’ve been trying to find new and exciting ways to use them.  I did something similar a while back with peaches, and I thought pears would be amazing.  These were like heaven in my mouth.

Enjoy!

Ingredients

2 large ripe pears
Dash of cinnamon and nutmeg
honey
chopped nuts of your choice (I used walnuts, but pecans would be good too)
Greek yogurt

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Slice the pears in half and using a melon baller, scoop out the seeds.  Place cut side up on a lined baking sheet and drizzle with honey and spices.  Bake for 30 minutes.  Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.  Top with greek yogurt.
